One-off local SEO for healthcare and local services

Direct answer

What a one-off local SEO project includes

A one-off local SEO project reviews what a practice already has, finds the few changes that will move local visibility, makes those changes and leaves a written plan the owner can follow. It covers the Google Business Profile, Search Console and indexing, page titles and structure, local competitors, realistic keywords and local landing pages, with no monthly contract attached.

Who it is for

Small practices that rely on local patients.

Owners who want their search presence fixed properly once, without committing to an ongoing agency package.

  • Physiotherapy and sports injury clinics
  • Osteopaths and chiropractors
  • Dental and orthodontic practices
  • Counselling, psychotherapy and psychology
  • Aesthetics and skin clinics
  • Private GPs, podiatry, hearing and optometry
  • Other appointment-based local services

Areas

East Grinstead and the surrounding towns.

  • East Grinstead
  • Forest Row
  • Lingfield
  • Crawley
  • Haywards Heath
  • Sussex, Surrey and Kent

Not a fit if you want a guaranteed number one. Nobody can honestly promise a ranking. We promise the work, and we show you what moved.

How the project works

Review, compare, fix, hand over.

Four steps, usually two to three weeks from access to handover. You agree the list of changes before anything is touched.

  1. Review what you already have

Search Console, indexing and coverage, site structure, page titles and meta descriptions, internal links, speed on a phone, and the current Google Business Profile. We read the data before recommending anything.

  2. Compare against the practices above you

Who appears in the map pack and AI answers for your treatments in your town, what their profiles and pages do that yours do not, and which searches are realistic to win this year.

  3. Make the priority fixes

We implement the changes ourselves: profile categories and services, titles and descriptions, internal linking, structured data, indexing problems, and new or rewritten treatment and location pages where they are justified.

  4. Hand over a plan you can run

A short written plan for the next 90 days: what to post, how to ask for reviews, which pages to write next and what to check in Search Console each month. Plain English, no dashboard subscription.

Done for you

What we change ourselves.

  • Optimise the Google Business Profile: categories, services, description, photos, booking link and Q&A
  • Fix titles, meta descriptions and headings on the pages that matter
  • Repair indexing, redirect, sitemap and canonical problems found in Search Console
  • Restructure internal links so treatment and location pages are easy to find
  • Add structured data for the practice, practitioners and FAQs
  • Write or rewrite priority treatment and local landing pages
  • Correct inconsistent name, address and phone details across key directories

Left with you

What the plan covers.

  • Which keywords are realistic now and which to leave for later
  • A simple routine for asking patients for reviews
  • What to post on the profile and how often
  • Which content to write next, in order
  • What to watch in Search Console each month
  • When it would be worth paying for ongoing help, and when it would not

Healthcare-specific SEO

Health websites play by stricter rules.

Generic SEO advice can work against a clinic. These are the points we build into every healthcare project.

Health content is held to a higher standard

Google treats health information as "your money or your life" content and looks harder for experience, expertise and trust. Pages should show who wrote them, their qualifications and when they were reviewed.

Practitioners should be verifiable

Bios that name the professional register and number (GMC, GDC, HCPC, GOsC, GCC or BACP) give search engines and patients something they can check.

Claims must follow advertising rules

The CAP Code limits what health businesses can claim. We write pages that rank without promising cures or outcomes the ASA would challenge.

Reviews need careful replies

Replying to a review must not confirm that someone is a patient or discuss their care. We give you reply wording that stays inside confidentiality guidance.

Regulated ratings belong on the site

Where a practice is registered with the CQC, its current rating should be displayed on the website. It is a requirement and also a strong trust signal.

Medical structured data

Schema types such as MedicalClinic, Dentist and Physiotherapy describe the practice precisely, rather than as a generic local business.

How local search is changing

Patients are asking, not just searching.

Search results increasingly answer the question and name a business, rather than listing ten links. That changes what a small practice needs to get right.

Answers before links
Google AI Overviews and AI Mode now answer many questions directly at the top of the page. Fewer people click through, so the practice that the answer names wins the enquiry.
The profile is the data source
For local searches, Google reads services, hours, categories, photos and reviews from the Business Profile. An incomplete profile gives the AI little reason to mention you.
Relevance beats proximity more often
For specific requests such as "sports massage for runners open Saturday", a closer practice can lose to one whose profile and pages answer the exact need.
Reviews carry the detail
The wording inside reviews, and how the practice replies, increasingly shapes which business is recommended for which treatment.

SEO, AEO and GEO

Getting recommended by Google, ChatGPT and other AI assistants.

People now ask AI tools questions like “who is a good physio near East Grinstead?”. Those tools build their answer from the same signals search engines use, plus a few of their own.

SEO: Be found and ranked

The foundations still matter most: crawlable pages, clear titles, a complete profile and pages that match what people search for.

AEO: Be the answer

Answer engine optimisation structures pages around real questions with short, direct answers that Google and voice assistants can quote.

GEO: Be recommended by AI

Generative engine optimisation makes the practice easy for ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Copilot and Claude to identify, trust and name when someone asks for a recommendation.

What we do for AI visibility

  • Consistent business details everywhere AI tools look, including Bing Places and Apple Business Connect, not just Google
  • Listings on the health directories assistants already cite, such as Doctify, Top Doctors, the NHS service finder and professional body registers
  • Treatment pages that state who it is for, what happens, how long it takes and where, in plain sentences that can be quoted
  • Structured data that names the practice, practitioners, services and area served
  • Allowing AI search crawlers such as OAI-SearchBot, PerplexityBot and Claude-SearchBot to read the site
  • Checking what the main assistants currently say about your practice, before and after the work

What we will not claim

No one controls what an AI assistant says, and the tools change their sources often. Anyone selling guaranteed placement in ChatGPT is selling a guess.

What does work is being consistent, verifiable and clearly described everywhere these tools look. We check what the main assistants say about your practice before the work and again at handover, so you can see the difference yourself.

Files such as llms.txt can help some tools read a site, but they are not a Google ranking factor, so we treat them as optional.

Useful extras

Small additions that often matter more than they look.

Included where they are the biggest opportunity, or added to the scope if you want them.

Review routine

A simple, compliant way to ask patients for reviews after appointments, including the link and wording.

Booking journey check

Making sure the path from search result to booked appointment works on a phone without dead ends.

Speed and Core Web Vitals

Fixing the slow images, scripts and layout shifts that cost rankings and patience.

Accessibility basics

Readable contrast, labelled forms and headings that make sense for patients using assistive technology.

Profile posting plan

A short list of posts and photos to add over the next three months, written for your treatments.

One check-in after 90 days

An optional single review of what has moved, instead of a monthly retainer.

Common questions

Questions about a one-off local SEO project.

Pricing is fixed per project and agreed before work starts, based on the size of the site and what needs fixing.

Do I have to sign up to a monthly contract?

No. This is a one-off project with an agreed scope. You leave with the changes made and a written plan. If you later want a single 90-day check-in, that is optional and quoted separately.

Will you actually make the changes, or just send a report?

We make the priority changes ourselves: the Google Business Profile, titles and descriptions, internal links, structured data, indexing fixes and agreed pages. The report is the plan for what comes after, not a substitute for the work.

Can you guarantee first place on Google?

No one can honestly guarantee a ranking, and anyone who does should be treated with caution. We focus on the changes with the strongest evidence behind them and show you what moved using your own Search Console and profile data.

Will this get my practice recommended by ChatGPT or Google AI?

It makes it much more likely, because AI assistants rely on consistent business details, trusted directories, reviews and clearly written pages. No one controls what an AI tool says, so we check what the main assistants say about you before and after the work rather than promising a result.

What access will you need?

Manager access to your Google Business Profile, a user on Google Search Console, and access to your website or the person who manages it. We can work with WordPress, Wix, Squarespace and most custom sites. Nothing is changed without you agreeing the list first.

How long does it take?

Most small practice projects take around two to three weeks from access to handover. Rankings and profile visibility usually respond over the following weeks as Google recrawls the changes.

Do you understand the rules for healthcare websites?

Yes. Pages are written within advertising rules on health claims, practitioner details reference their professional register, review replies respect patient confidentiality, and regulated ratings such as CQC are displayed where they apply.

How much does it cost?

It depends on the size of the site and how much needs fixing, so we quote a fixed price after a short look at your profile and website. You know the full cost before any work starts.
